The Hand of Justice is one of the imperial regalia created for the coronation of Napoleon I at Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris on 2 December 1804. Since the Middle Ages, it has symbolised the sovereign’s power to administer justice in the name of the State and of God. After the French Revolution, a large part of the former royal regalia had disappeared or been destroyed. When Napoleon became emperor, he wished to create new symbols of power whilst maintaining continuity.

Manufacture
Les broderies de nos broches sont créées et dessinées spécialement par les créatrices M&L. Elles sont entièrement réalisées à la main, en fil de cannetille, selon une technique indo-pakistanaise très ancienne. C'est pour cela qu'en 2009, nous avons recruté nos brodeurs au Pakistan où nous avons construit notre atelier d'artisanat.
