Manufacturing

From idea to creation

Designed by the brand's designers, often with a quirky twist, this duo's embroideries are always endearing. Small, precious, elegant, and funny objects, they bring a touch of luxury, humor, and love to a world that is often too serious.

HAND EMBROIDERY IN PAKISTAN

The cannetille technique involves using a special metal thread, very finely wound into a spiral, cut to length, and then embroidered like beads.

MECHANICAL EMBROIDERY IN PORTUGAL

Mechanical embroidery uses finer thread than hand embroidery, so our patches are richer in detail, giving us jubilant freedom!

NEEDLEWORK IN RWANDA

Unique garments, produced in very limited quantities, embroidered with great sensitivity.

SEWING IN GRANVILLE

With the exception of leather goods, all Macon&Lesquoy products are sewn in their workshop in Granville.

OUR WORKSHOPS AROUND THE WORLD: PAKISTAN

The pins are manufactured in Pakistan, where the traditional craftsmanship of artisans has been recognized for several generations.

Since 2009, Macon&Lesquoy has become a specialist in the design of cannetille embroidery.

The workshop to which we have entrusted the embroidery of our creations has been passed down from father to son and is now owned by Muhammad.

Sixty embroiderers work there exclusively, full-time, under social and safety conditions that are imposed and regularly monitored by the designers.

OUR WORKSHOPS AROUND THE WORLD: PORTUGAL

Since 2009, Macon&Lesquoy has chosen to entrust the manufacture of its patches to Luis's factory, which is responsive and very open to experimentation.

The people who program our embroidery are highly skilled and spend a lot of time designing the rendering of the materials provided in our drawings: the fur of animals, the smooth appearance with grooves of a vinyl record... They always place their stitches perfectly to faithfully reproduce our designs, even the smallest ones!

This company complies with all European textile standards and is regularly audited.

OUR WORKSHOPS AROUND THE WORLD: RWANDA

Since 2017, Macon&Lesquoy has been promoting the needle painting skills of Rwandan embroiderers.

This cotton thread technique is appealing for its “homemade” look. It is also affectionately known as “grandmother's embroidery.” It is the embroidery that reminds Marie of her grandmother's sewing and embroidery skills.

Marie and Anne-Laure call on the skills of the cooperative in Rutongo, a village near Kigali, supervised by the talented Véronique d'Ibaba Rwanda.

OUR WORKSHOPS AROUND THE WORLD: GRANVILLE

Apart from leather goods, all the stitching on Macon&Lesquoy products is done in their workshop in Granville.

The bags, flags, belt assembly, and delicate assembly of lambskin bracelets are all done by Anne.

Anne joined M&L in 2015 and has successfully taken on several different roles, and now manages the “prototyping and small series” workshop in Normandy.
