For its opening in May 2026, Marie Macon designed the brooch collection for L'Orée, the Museum of Gold Embroidery located in Cervières in France's Loire region.

The threadwork was imagined by Marine, using Carlhian metallic threads and Montcapel and Laoureux felt.
A close-knit team, led by Anastasia, has brought to life a museum that shines far beyond the local area.

Together, they are designing a special brooch collection inspired by a landscape from the Forez region.

Available at the museum and at M&L (online shop and boutique).

Made in Forez: each brooch is hand-embroidered by Marine and Louise.

Together with the embroiderers from l’Orée, we wanted to try a new approach to finishing the backs of our pieces and attaching the pin. We wanted the back to be just as beautiful as the front, so we used a brightly colored natural felt, onto which we secured the pin using a saddle stitch. The assembly is intentionally left fully visible to showcase the handwork involved. This finishing method is very different from the one we usually use at M&L.

Our brooches are fragile. Avoid rubbing and water! So as to keep them longer, put them back in their pretty little cardboard box after use. 

Our orders are prepared and shipped from Monday to Friday from Granville in Normandy.
